- This turtles name is "JIM" after Jim Harding.
- This turtle is one of the most famous hybrid stories to have ever occured. Dating back to the late 90's, renowned biologist Jim Harding produced three clutches of Blandings turtle wood turtle hybrids by accident. The mother was a Wood turtle and the father was a Blandings. These animals were all genetically tested and there are several papers on these particular clutches. This male was one of the babies and was raised up and has been passed through a few hands. This turtle is absolutely phenomenal and comes right over to eat out of your hand.
- This is the HOLY GRAIL for any avid North American turtle collectors. There are no others of these on the open market for sale ever.
